Change detection for multi-polarization, multi-pass SAR
نویسنده
چکیده
This paper develops a unified mathematical theory of change detection for the multi-polarization, multipass synthetic aperture radar (SAR) change detection problem. A generalized likelihood ratio test (glrt) for optimum processing of the measured data is developed; an evaluation of the performance of the optimum glrt is also given in the form of ROC curves (PD versus PFA), quantifying the benefits of multipolarization, multi-pass SAR change detection.

Change Detection for Multi-Polarization SAR
Appendices 89 A 89 B 93 C 95 D 97 Bibliography 101 Introduction A topic of great interest in the Remote Sensing, Signal Processing, and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) communities is change detection. This is the ability to identify temporal changes within a given scene starting from a pair of co-registered SAR images representing an area of interest [1–3]. Incoherent and coherent change detecti...
متن کاملImpact of the Spatial Resolution on Sar Change Detection
This paper presents an analysis of multi-pass interferometric acquisitions at very high resolution acquired over Salon de Provence area, south of France. These acquisitions were obtained from the ONERA/RAMSES SAR sensor at X band. The coherence information is analyzed for change detection purpose and the impact of spatial resolution on scene understanding and change detection processing are stu...
متن کاملThe Performance Analysis Based on SAR Sample Covariance Matrix
Multi-channel systems appear in several fields of application in science. In the Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) context, multi-channel systems may refer to different domains, as multi-polarization, multi-interferometric or multi-temporal data, or even a combination of them. Due to the inherent speckle phenomenon present in SAR images, the statistical description of the data is almost mandatory ...
متن کاملBuilding 2 - D wide area site models from single - and multi - pass singlepolarization SAR dataShyam
Wide area site models are useful for delineating regions of interest and assisting in tasks like monitoring and change detection. They are also useful in registering a newly acquired image to an existing one of the same site, or to a map. This paper presents an algorithm for building a two-dimensional (2-D) wide area site model from high resolution, single polarization Synthetic Aperture Radar ...
متن کاملAn Unsupervised Change Detection Based on Test Statistic and Ki from Multi-temporal and Full Polarimetric Sar Images
Accurate and timely change detection of Earth’s surface features is extremely important for understanding relationships and interactions between people and natural phenomena. Many traditional methods of change detection only use a part of polarization information and the supervised threshold selection. Those methods are insufficiency and time-costing. In this paper, we present a novel unsupervi...
